Catherine Peters Johnson, 99, of Lacey, WA passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Providence St Peter Hospital, Olympia, WA, due to heart failure.

She was born in Newark, NJ on December 5, 1917 to John and Helen Peters and had one sister, Helen Maskos, and one brother, Arthur Peters.

Catherine married Wallace "Johnny" Johnson on August 31, 1946 in San Diego, CA. They had seven children: Patricia, Phyllis, Peggy, Pamela, Paula, Penny and Richard. They met during their enlistments in the Navy in World War II. After the war Johnny enlisted...

She was born in Newark, NJ on December 5, 1917 to John and Helen Peters and had one sister, Helen Maskos, and one brother, Arthur Peters.

Catherine married Wallace "Johnny" Johnson on August 31, 1946 in San Diego, CA. They had seven children: Patricia, Phyllis, Peggy, Pamela, Paula, Penny and Richard. They met during their enlistments in the Navy in World War II. After the war Johnny enlisted in the Air Force and they lived in several places (Oakland, CA; Merced, CA; El Paso, TX; Orlando, FL; Fayetteville, NC; Kanto Mura, Japan; Tacoma, WA; Federal Way, WA; Olympia, WA; and Lacey, WA)

Catherine is survived by her children: Patricia Gentry, Peggy Wiser, Pamela Coleman (Husband Selbourne), Paula MacCombie (Husband James), Penny Conselman (Husband Charles) and Richard Johnson. Her grandchildren: Bonnie Cox, Wallace Wells, Charles and Eryn Caessens, Wesley Wiser, Jason, Nathan and Herbert MacCombie, Amber Jobman, Charles and Andrew Conselman and several great- and great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother, sister, and daughter-Phyllis Caessens.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2017 at noon at St Michael Catholic Church, 1204 11th Avenue SE, Olympia, WA 98501 with reception to follow. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98402 on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 9:30 am.
