Obituary

Mrs. Cynthia (Cindy) Louise Evans (Hastings) went to her final resting place on December 15, 2017. She will be so truly missed and loved. We never imagined or felt any pain or ache as losing her from our lives. It is unimaginable, infathomable, unreal in every way. She will be thought of often and never forgotten.

Cindy was born on May 19, 1955, in Olympia, WA, and lived in Olympia. She graduated from Olympia High School or William Winlock Miller High School in 1973.
Cindy was married to my father Edgar S. Evans, Jr. They met and started co-habbitating in 1975. Their first night at their apartment, was the first night SNL premiered. They ended up in their house at Monta Vista and there they shall stay. They married on January 1, 1981, almost exactly at midnight in Reno, Nevada.
Cindy worked at The Department of Revenue in Taxpayer Services for 42 years. She would still be working today had life not interviened. She medically retired on April 1, 2017. She truly loved what she did and was loved for what she did. She worked with many friends and co-workers over the years, many of whom have become like family. Thank you all, she loved her time at Revenue.
Cindy was a member of the Evans family. Cindy was also a member or the Hasting family. She loved bingo anywhere the people were friendly and kind and they had OLY or HAMMS!! Camping and clamming and baseball tournements weren't always moms favorite thing but she made the trips. :) We always limited when mom was there:) She loved her TV and her many shows including but not limited to Blue Bloods and Law and Order SUV. She also really, really loved Ellen DeGeneres and I always wanted to take her to her show. You visit now mom, you see all the shows:)
Cindy is survived by daughter Amber Joan Evans; son Brian Edgar Evans; grandchildren Celia Olympia Staggs (Amber) and Nash Kelson Evans( Brian); and brother, Steve Marion Hastings. Her parents preceeded her in death, Joanie Hastings and Greg Hastings, as well as her sister Nancy Jean Hastings.
We will plan a Celebration of Life in the early spring/later this year. Please leave any comments or memories or leave pictures of mom or feel free to email us amberbc2117@gmail.com or cindye33@comcast.net.
Cindy will be missed, more than anyone will ever know. She will forever be in our hearts and in our memories where she will be for the entirerty of our lives. Through losing the ones that are in our lives, I have realized that we never truly lose someone, no we can not touch or hold or feel them anymore but they live with us in our memories, in our smells, in our heart when we feel a happy memory. We live so our loved ones live on. She will be thought of often and never forgotten.
Cindy had a long, hard battle with the medical world. Cancers, infections, crappy doctors who "practice medicine", etc. She stayed so strong and never complained and almost always had her beautiful smile on:) She didn't live long enough but the life she lived was a hell of one. Days seem long and years seem short, don't forget we all have a timer to our clock, it will ring, don't "should have, would have, could have" just hold love and make that call today. You may not have tomorrow and neither may your loved one. Today is guarenteed, tomorrow may never come, live for now and learn from yesterday. SMILE LOVE SMILE LOVE:)
AND of course..........in mom fashion, she would not want anything done on her behalf, so TOOO BAADDDD!!!!!! we love you and we want to celebrate you so we will plan a party ASAP and we will let all know so you may attend:)
RIP MOM Cynthia Louise Evans.
