Ed was married to Virginia in 1959 at the South Methodist Church in Manchester, Conn., and after leaving the service he owned and operated two grocery stores in Olympia, Wash. After he sold those, he went to work for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, where he worked proudly for 17 years, checking in equipment from his little "shack."
Ed was known as a hard-working man his whole life. In his free time, he loved wood working, and was a Seattle Mariners fan. He also enjoyed dancing with his wife Virginia.
Ed is survived by his sister Evelyn; nephew Kenneth Reigert; stepdaughter Barbara Slater and her husband Jim; grandchildren Sue Pulaski and Ron Slater; great-grandchildren Cameron and Madison Pulaski; and close friends Judy and Charlie Parsons. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia; brothers Charlie and Harold; and sister Marie.
