Evelyn Lorraine Steele, 83, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Washington on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Evelyn was born November 2, 1932 in Everett, Washington. She attended Olympia schools, married Vernon L. Steele on December 31, 1956 and raised their family in Tumwater. She retired as head cook at Littlerock School, a career she truly loved.

She is survived by sons, Lawrence (Kathy) and Vernon, Jr.; daughters, Janice (Gary) Williams and Cheryl (Tom) Banomi; grandchildren, Aaron (Holly) Steele, Alicia (Richard) Harmon, Damon Dosty, Kira Banomi, Krista Banomi, Kyle Banomi, Nick...

Evelyn was born November 2, 1932 in Everett, Washington. She attended Olympia schools, married Vernon L. Steele on December 31, 1956 and raised their family in Tumwater. She retired as head cook at Littlerock School, a career she truly loved.

She is survived by sons, Lawrence (Kathy) and Vernon, Jr.; daughters, Janice (Gary) Williams and Cheryl (Tom) Banomi; grandchildren, Aaron (Holly) Steele, Alicia (Richard) Harmon, Damon Dosty, Kira Banomi, Krista Banomi, Kyle Banomi, Nick Steele and Zack Steele; great-grandchildren Tate and Thomas Steele, Gabby Harmon, Alex Dosty-Perez, Damon II and Damien Dosty, and Jasmine Banomi; sister, Delores Martin; and brother, Charles Allender. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; brothers, Howard and Francis Allender; and granddaughter, Amanda Gassins-Steele.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 20, at 10:00 a.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Road SW, in Tumwater.
